Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
PTA: Parent Teacher Association
St Michael’s PTA is a registered charity (Reg Number 1152475).
Our aim is to raise much needed funds for the school in order to provide new equipment and encounters that enhance and enrich the educational experience of the pupils at St Michael’s. We do this by organising fun events that our school community can enjoy.
As a parent, carer or teacher of a child at the school you are automatically a member of the PTA and we would love to see you at our meetings to share your thoughts, ideas and opinions.
There are 6 posts on the committee which are re-elected each year at the AGM in March/April. The committee meet at least once a term and the committee is re-elected each year.

The committee are responsible for approving the events calendar and ensuring the funds raised by these events are managed responsibly in accordance with the charity commission’s regulations.
Each term a general PTA meeting is held which is open to all parents, carers and teachers and gives the PTA committee the opportunity to share what events are planned and how the funds raised are being apportioned.
Each event is planned and managed by a separate event committee and parents, carers and teachers are always needed to volunteer in the planning and running of each of these events to ensure they run smoothly. Please get in touch if you are interested in helping with one of our events.
If you want more information about the PTA, please speak to a member of the committee or your Class Rep. Alternatively, please use the PTA email box to get in touch ptastmichaels@hotmail.com We also have a Facebook Group St Michael’s PTA EN2 which you may wish to join for regular PTA updates and a St. Michael’s PTA Buy Sell or Swap Shop Facebook Group to raise vital funds for the school.
You may also wish to complete a parent questionnaire to let us know how you would like to get involved, which can either be emailed in or handed in at the office and marked for the attention of the PTA.
